Florence fennel varieties to grow

  • ‘Sergio’ – quick-ripening, this variety is best planted in May-June for harvesting in the fall
  • ‘Perfection’ – This screw-resistant variety produces medium-sized bulbs with a delicate anise flavor. Early sowing is recommended.
  • ‘Canting’ – a bolt-resistant variety with a good strong flavor
  • “Amigo” RHS AGM – Good, regular bulbs but slightly flat and stud resistant
  • ‘Colossal’ – a screw-resistant variety that produces an extra-large bulb
